Abrar Murder: Prosecution Seeks Death Penalty For 25 Accused

Prosecutors have sought the death for 25 defendants in a trial involving the killing of Abrar Fahad Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in the year 2019. In the closing argument, Mosharraf Hossain Kajal, the chief prosecutor in the case, informed the jury that they were able to prove their case against the accused in all cases and demanded the highest penalty for their part in the criminal act. Arguments were heard before the Dhaka Temporary Trial Tribunal-1 Judge Jafar Mohammad kamruzzaman. On September 8th, the court made charges against the of them. He had then claimed innocence before the judge and court on the 14th of March. Twenty-two suspects also declared innocence in the case on the 14th of September.
